The Next Chapter Bookstore

Our Mission

About the Bookstore

The Next Chapter Bookstore is operated by LVCC. Located next door to our Education Center, the shop is easy to find at 12 Park Place, Fredonia.

This charming bookstore has thousands of used and vintage books for all ages and interests: children's, fiction, non-fiction, history, politics, mystery, romance, young adult, and more. All customers will be inspired to curl up and get lost in a good book!

Reflecting our belief that literacy should be accessible to all, our bargain books are affordably priced. 100% of the proceeds from book sales are used to support LVCC’s free literacy programs. For just a few dollars, you can get a book and help change someone’s life.

The bookstore also hosts musicians, art openings, and book club meetings throughout the month. Be sure to check Upcoming Events on the homepage or visit our Facebook page to stay informed!

How long will you hold a book for me?

We accept cash, local checks, and credit cards (for purchases of $10+).

Do you offer a loyalty program?

What do the bookstore volunteers do?

Volunteers help to sort and arrange books, clean shelves, and assist customers in finding their next literary adventure. If you love books and like working with people, this is a great opportunity for you! Please call (716) 680-8120 or complete our Volunteer Form to get involved.

Do you accept book donations?

YES!! Donated books are how we stock our shelves. We accept gently-used books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, children's magazines, etc. We are unable to take books in very poor condition. We only accept textbooks, encyclopedias and magazines that are dated from 1950 or earlier. Donations of 100 books or less can be dropped off during business hours. To schedule a time slot for larger donations, please call (716) 680-8120.

Do you have Gift Certificates?

Need a last minute gift? Is someone hard to buy for? A gift certificate from The Next Chapter Bookstore is the perfect solution! Plus, your purchase supports LVCC and our free tutoring services for adults. Win, Win! Gift Certificates are available at the bookstore or online.

Vintage & Rare Books

We receive hundreds of donated books each month – many of these books are vintage or rare finds!. When these books show up in the store, our team goes to work researching, evaluating, and pricing them for our inventory.

We keep a few of these vintage books in The Next Chapter Bookstore. All others are sold online in our Ebay store. 100% of the proceeds from vintage book sales are used to support LVCC’s free literacy programs.
